We are currently looking for a lobby attendant to join our team of rock stars! The shift that we're looking to fill varies from 7am - 3pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm, and 3pm - 11pm. We need someone to be completely open in availability. We're looking for individuals who want a career within the hotel industry. We’d love to interview you if you:

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping experience is required with a minimum of 2 years

Job duties:

• Positive attitude and willingness to want to succeed
• Cleans and maintains all lobbies and public restrooms.
• Sweeps and mops carpets, lobby entrance.
• Empties ashtrays and urns.
• Polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuums and polishes elevators.
• Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Cleans the lobby floor during night.
• Keeps the back area of front desk neat and clean.
• Keeps all public areas neat, vacuumed, and dusted.
• Clean and maintain lights.
• Makes sure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free.
• Removes all trash from areas.
• Periodically checks all lobby restrooms / washrooms.
• Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
• Restocks all supplies including toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
• Makes sure all surfaces are clean and tidy.
• Arrange all cushion properly on lobby sofa.
• Responds to guest requests and inquiries while in the lobby.
• Assist guests with their questions and direct them to the areas they want to go.

• $16 - $18 an hour

More about the Property

ASH Hotels, in partnership with local developer Nathalie Jordi, acquired a historic development site in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. The site consists of existing church, rectory, convent, and school buildings. Through a strategic rehabilitation ASH is currently redeveloping and repositioning the underutilized and vacant city landmark into a 71-key hotel and community space, creating significant value for both the immediate neighborhood and greater region.

The 2317 Burgundy Street complex (typically referred to as the St. Peter and Paul Church and School campus) is comprised of four separate historic structures, totaling approximately 50,000 square feet with an additional 28,000 square feet of landscaping, parking and open space.

The Marigny neighborhood begins one block downriver from the French Quarter. (The site itself is six blocks from this border.) The neighborhood was designated a historic district in 1978, and is celebrated for its Creole and Classic Revival cottages as well as its traditional Shotgun houses. Its distinctive architecture, eclectic restaurants and European influences have continuously drawn artists to both live and work there, and its location just across Esplanade Street from the French Quarter has established it as a tourist destination for decades.
